Richard Mueller is professor and chair in the department of economics and a research affiliate at the Prentice Institute for Global Population and Economy, both at the University of Lethbridge. He is also associate director of the Education Policy Research Initiative (EPRI) at the University of Ottawa. He was seconded to Statistics Canada in Ottawa from 2009 to 2011. His main research interest over the past dozen years has been related to the various determinants of access to post-secondary education in Canada. He holds a BA (Hons) and a MA from the University of Calgary and a PhD from the University of Texas at Austin.
